Custom Blue Circle BC26-206-NST-LOC-Baby KQ Power Amplifier

BC Nation,

For your review and consideration is my highly prized and customized BC26-206-NST-LOC-Baby KQ power amp. This amp started life out of the Blue Circle foundry as a BC26 MKI. Three years ago, I had it totally gutted and rebuilt by Gil But with the following:

NST input stage
M2 output stage ("BC 206 like" power: 200 watts/channel into 8 ohms - 300w/c into 4 ohms)
LOC (Lots of Caps) - 1.25 Farads of power supply filtering/gas tank
Baby KQ filtering
"BC208 like" low gain high power input for wider volume control
New wiring stem to stern

It is finished in brushed aluminum on both the face plate and cover. Rating about a 7-8 as the exterior is not flawless, but oh the sound... :D

I am including in the price a BC68MKII power cord with Neutrik Powercon connector.

I am asking a very fair $4000USD and will split the shipping if near the asking price. It weighs about 95 lbs. unboxed. I have all of the original shipping containers and it will be double boxed for safe arrival. If you are local to Central New York, you can surely audition it in an all Blue Circle system. This is a reference class amplifier that contains much of the current NSP amplifier technology.

Team BC,

I am lowering the price to $3400 USD. Note: I am also including a BC68MKII power cord at the asking price, you don't have to wait 6 months for the massive power supplies and new output stages to finally break in (not a typo - 6 months!!) and this amp's guts are really only about 3 years old and never abused in an all BC system.

Mark, that's a good/fair price for that amplifier. Keep your chin up, the hi end audio world is slower than a Lada full of elephants going uphill right now.
