Toronto Audio Fest 2018
Toronto Audio Fest 2018
Hello Everybody. It is show time again. This time I am going to wear two hats (badges). One for Entracte Audio (Blue Circle Toronto dealer) and the second one is Saturn Audio.
For the Entracte Audio room, you are going to see the NSI-G and BC515 along with other gears they carry in action. They are going to be in room 450.
In Saturn Audio room, we have stuff, lot of stuff. If you want the profession version of the line up and details, go to www.saturnaudio.com. If you can live with my amature version of marketing hype, read on.
Remember about a year ago Rene Evans started Saturn Audio with me as the design guy. After many months of hard work with lot of good folks involved, we finally have stuff to show and sell. The list includes three power line filters, a preamp, a power amp and a DAC. You can see all of this first hand at the Toronto Audio Fest this weekend in room 323. You can ask questions here but doesn’t mean I have time to answer before I head to Toronto tomorrow morning. Go to Saturn Audio web site and bug Rene. He can gives you all the details.

Re: Toronto Audio Fest 2018
Yes - it's showtime!!! Please do drop by room 450 and have a look at the latest creations from Blue Circle - the BC515 is a superb DAC and the the NSI-G is absolutely mind-blowing! There will also be gear from ATC, Audio Valve, Chord, Kimber Kable, Marten, Melco, Spendor, and Quadraspire.
Re: Toronto Audio Fest 2018
Definitely go hear the NSI-G in George's room and play with the tube knob (no dirty jokes please) as well as the BC515. Both are exceptional.
In the Saturn Audio room we have the following:
101C/102C/103C Series power filters. Latest Gilbert designs based on the FX2 X0e CxT technologies but enhanced configurations.
201 Series DAC, (BC515 with some extra stuff)
501 Series preamplifier (Updated BC107 design)
601 Series power amplifier (NSI technology in an affordable format)

I am saying three times picture doesn't mean I am going to have three pictures. Here is one to begin with.

I also want to apologies to everyone that I think we have met but I couldn't come up with a name yesterday (first day of the show). I will try harder today but I can't promise anyone I can do better.
Hey, ralphio. Did you visit us earlier in the day? I thought I saw you but by the time I was almost certain that was you, you have already out into the hall way walking away from our room.
You see, that's how bad I was.

Re: Toronto Audio Fest 2018
Unfortunately, by the time I got to the Entracte room, they had flipped to some das german audiowerken stuffen and the spendors, so I missed out on the NSI...poop !
The Saturn room was sounding very sweet, certainly something I want to follow up on !

Here you are, two more pictures.
George Taylor of Entracte Audio. We were playing the 002i/EPS driving a pair of ATC SCM40. Same source Melco and BC515/GBC500.

Re: Toronto Audio Fest 2018
Second one from the Saturn Audio room.
Rene Evans in the middle, Dennis Owens on the left both are from Saturn Audio. That's me on the right. You know, that guy with all the color.
From the top shelf to the bottom. Top shelf are all the streamers and digital stuff. I have to rely on Rene to fill in the blank. I can do the second from the top to the bottom.
Second from the top is the 201 Digital to Analog Converter. That thing is based on the 515 but with a different twist. Final version is to be advised.
Next shelf down is the 501 line stage preamp. Based on the NSC and 107. Final version is going to have a taste of the solid-state part of the NSI input stage too.
Next, 601 stereo power amp. That thing measured at 93 watts per channel into 8 ohms. A good mixture of new NSI technology with some long and proven technique from the NSP and 1022. I don't know what the marketing department is going to claim yet. I know they have to do their home work and go with the flow. You know how these things go. Again, this is not final. Still works to be done.
Bottom shelf 103C Powerline Filter. This one is pretty final and ready.
Again, the 201, 501 and 601 are in the prototype stage. Final details to be determined. Please be patient. Between the three of us, we only have 3 pairs of hand and 72 hours a day. I don't know about Rene and Dennis, but I personally prefer to have an eight hours sleep every night so that makes it a 16 hours per day for me.

Re: Toronto Audio Fest 2018
It's too bad you couldn't come back on Saturday. We were back onto the NSI-G and Marten.

Rene
I know we never met but after talking so much somehow I developed a mental picture of you.
You will be happy to hear you are better looking in real life!
Nice to see PMC speakers with your gear. I think PMC does well with BC Gear.
Is that a Lumin U1 do the streaming?

Re: Toronto Audio Fest 2018
I promise this is the last picture from TAF 2018. I know you guys are getting sick of my face by now. I just have to prove I was there. I didn't touch the speaker because it has one of those finger print enhancing finish on it.
