If you have one FX2 and want to improve the performance of the whole system, my personal choice is actually adding one 6X sillycone and one X0e module into it. The Sillycone filter plug into the same duplex outlet as the FX2 plug into. Then the X0e into one of the spare outlet the FX2 has.

I assume the system has a spare outlet from the duplex and a spare on the FX2.
Damn gilbert..why did u mention this? Now i am contemplating to buy a sillycone 6x also..i (especially my wallet) am starting to dislike u :D
BCR,
Have you considered combining X0e and 6x in one pipe?
Contemplating? What's that? Either it's in my dream or it's done. Usually I skip the contemplating part of the process. To answer your question, it's done. 6X, 12X and 18X Sillycone filter can be order with X0e or even X1e. But I can't put all the combination all of these filters on the price list. It will be more than 10 pages when it is done.
Okay thanks for replying!

..cool..sooo..am almost afraid to ask now as i know u must be superbusy..but....can u pls provide me then what the price would be for me for 6x sillycone+x0e together in one tube...pls email me the info..together with the question about surge protection thats in my last mail...sorry for all the questions...ur the best.thanks!

I was going to ask you how much filtering you can stuff into a 4x11" pipe. It'd be nice if you said 24x with X1e :D

Update 05/02:

Done..changed my order into 6x sylliconefilter and x0e together in one pipe with FSDH surge protection and the bc61 cable upgrade...now waiting:-)

And my sincerest apologies that i am such a pain in the ass by putting more and more new stuff on my order. i just want my rig to be as good as possible within my budget, as i am going to take it to various (headphone) audio meetings here in europe i told u, and so i need something special :D
Now i think of it..the transportation box thats coming from canada is starting to get huge and probably heavy..!! :D

And gilbert..plssss dont come out with another affordable super find..as my wife will kill me if i wanna have that too in my order.. Lolz

Amazing unit - Xe0!!!!

Post by masluck » Mon Feb 10, 2014 10:40 am

Good Morning BC Nation,

The pictures that Gil But posted of the new Xe0 crap pipe based low frequency filters contained a 4-outlet one that was destined for a friend of mine to help with his PLC Thingee that he already has. Because I ordered it, I had BC send the unit to my house first so that I could check it out. I recently got a new CD Transport (Bel Canto CD3t) that has a few issues and is going back to the manufacturer for repairs in a week. One of the issues it has is that when it is powered up, it drives my BC23-705-L2 phono stage crazy with a hum that comes through the speakers. This is with the transport connected to a MR1200 (via a BC68 MKII) and the phono stage connected to a BC6000

When I got the Xe0, on a whim as well as burn it in some, I connected the BC68 MKII to the Xe0 to the MR1200 (Bel Canto--> BC68 MKII--> Xe0-->MR1200). Well low and behold, all noise gone!!! Eliminated!!! Nada!!!

Fellow BC stalwart Kevin W. was up for the weekend to hear my upgraded BC3000 GZpz SE and he verified this.

I know that the Bel Canto may have some issues (one being injecting power supply noise back into the system), but it sounds great and this test verified without question the efficacy of Gil But's latest creation. There is no debate, Great job BC - yet again!!!

Updating thread with G's response as he missed my previous post:

"I actually didn't see it. There were a lot of posts and I didn't have time to read them all. Sol lay. Just too crazy busy with pipes lately.

I can do a 24X with X1e in a 4" dia x 11" long tube. Flush bottom. Can also upgrade standard black 14awg PVC wire to BC61. BC61 is actually more flexible than the black PVC wire and does add benefit to the filter. With BC61, it has two 14 awg for each live and neutral instead of one 14 awg wire."

Hello everyone!

I'm new here but have been lurking and buying BC gear for years. I'm finally compelled to say something on behalf of this new X0e, which I just added to my FX2 along with a 18x filter last week. When I first added the FX2 to my DAR/Reynaud Offrande system over a year ago it felt as if a veil had been lifted. This latest update far exceeded that. This time an entire curtain was raised, the silence is now black, instruments seem to leap from the speakers.

I have a Thorens TD-124, which made a loud thump each time I turned it on and off. With the X0e and 18x filter in place that thump is barely audible. This was proof that the improvement was not in my head. I have an old house with dirty power and knob and tube wiring mixed with new wire behind plaster walls. The sound is far cleaner now, unmistakably so.

So hats off to Gilbert and BC!

Joe

Hi. Added X1e to bc6000. Things are cleaner and quieter -- very nice addition and highly recommended. Mine has a bc62 cord as upgrade which let me have a slightly longer cord which made it easier to fit. Great piece of equipment.
