Ok here is the scoop..........
When I first starting to design the X1e module last year, I was trying to address the newer nasty lower frequency noise from the power line. Then I was thinking what can I do with it to make a killer power line conditioner/filter. With the X1e module, a regular BC6000 and half a BC6020, on top of that a 3rd generation balanced transformer plus all kind of high frequency transient filters lay all over inside the BC60X1 plus a user replaceable surge protection module, this about sum up what the BC60X1 is about. We have sent this thing to a reviewer already but you really have to hear it to believe it.
X1e module is physically big, effective but big and also expensive, in relative term. I was waiting for someone to say what about "us". Ok, I didn't even wait for anyone to say that and I have started to think about what can I do for the entry level side of thing. Finally late last night I have figured out what to do. The result is the X0e module. You see, X1e is the big brother and X0e is the little brother. It pronounce Ex Zero Eeeee. I am sure everybody is going to call it a Ex Oh Eeee soon enough. I don't mind, call it whatever you want.
The full name of this new toys is "Peed Al Sea Thingee FX2 with X0e low frequency filter module". I try to put the whole name on the title and it was too long. I think the easiest way is to call it FX2 X0e 4 or 6 outlet.
The bottom line is with the X0e module, the FX2 is now able to cover a wider frequency spectrum of noise especially in the lower frequency region. At $495 for 6 outlet and $460 for 4 outlet, I have not able to find any competition out there at this price point or even at 3 to 4 times the price. I think you know what I cam going to say. It's the fancy box that cost so much money. We can make a fancy box too but then we will be one of them. No way!
We will keep it in a ABS pipe so we can make more people happy. Of course for those who insist of a fancy box, we can still make one for you. Just take more time and cost more.

I will not be accused by anyone of abandoned our customers with no upgrade path to their existing equipment!!! Here is the proof.

X0e module with 14awg non detachable power cord and one duplex (2 outlets) in 3" x 4.5" long ABS pipe, CAD195.00
X0e module with 14awg non detachable power cord and two duplex (4 outlets) in 4" x 4.5" long ABS pipe, CAD235.00
These are the things you can plug into your existing PLC Thingee or FX2 to add the X0e into the unit. If you are concern about losing an outlet, the second and the third options are to address that exact concern.
Let me know if these make any sense.

Upgrade for BC6000 and BC6020 is the X1e plug in module. The bigger brother of the X0e. If you have a BC6000, it can either upgrade via the Neutrik white jack plug in or internally. As long as we keep the cable length to the minimum, there is very very little or no sonic difference between internal and external upgrades. Since the supply current to the power amps doesn't directly pass through those cable to the modules, there is no current limiting effect at all.garyj wrote:Thanks. If you have a BC6000Si, then it has to be external plug in. Si is in a ABS pipe and there is no way we can upgrade it internally.splityew wrote:Does the X1e module plug externally into the BC6000si?
