Re: NSI - the first impressions

Happy New Year! Thanks for the detailed response. When I asked the question, I was wondering if there was a specific design decision that required you to use an integrated approach. I understand and agree with the reasons why an integrated amp can be a preferred approach from a purely performance pe...

Re: NSI - the first impressions

Haven't been here in a while  . This sounds like an exciting new product. If it has the same sound as the NSL but with greater power, then this integrated will be a beast! Just wondering why it is built as an integrated - is this part of what makes it special?

I'm not a fan of runflats - the ride is horrible and they cost more. You can throw a can of Slime and a compressor in the trunk for peace of mind if you don't want to haul a spare. What are the odds for a flat :)

Congratulations - beautiful colour! Blue is my favorite for cars but I never realized they are as much maintenance as black - swirls and scratches. Nothing a buffer can't fix however. I gave my car a full wrap so it's not a problem any more.

Good choice with the M package.

Received the BC660-12 recently and I am really impressed by performance and aesthetics of this PLC. Although I have several pipe based Sillycone filters throughout my room, I prefer powerline conditioners to be a traditional box design. The BC660 is a plain black box, but it's dimension and form are...

Gilbert, This BC660 looks interesting - I'm a little out of touch, didn't even know it existed. Sounds like this is what I need for the music server. Will it prevent all AC noise from contaminating the more critical components? I want to move the server back onto the same circuit as my pre and DAC. ...

DD I've been waiting for you to say something about your new amp :D . I imagine it must be pretty special indeed for you to make the move from your 206NST. Break-in is a bugger eh  I have said it before, the NSL experience still haunts me, it does so many things so "Bloody Brilliant". Wish I c...

I recommend the music server route as well and it would fit your budget. I almost never spin discs anymore, even though in my situation, the transport sounds a little better than the server ... although that may change as I am going to reconfigure things soon. The convenience factor is hard to ignore.

I like the concept of the HX - always nice to have flexibility. When I had the 208 converted to an NST, I wanted to retain the tube functionality but there wasn't enough room in the chassis to support both. The HX option is even better but I'm guessing that I wouldn't have room for that either. Mind...

Re: initial reaction

received my bc204 back with the HX modification and so far i am very impressed. Been listening mostly to solid state input and like the clarity and depth, and things have not even settled in. Also had an upgrade in the power supply for the preamp so that may be part of what i am hearing, but overal...

BCR I'm actually just another beer drinking dude :) but I can understand the confusion. Nikki was the name of my previous dog ... maybe I should change my moniker to Loki (current dog) to avoid gender confusion :). Depends if you like the smell of salt and vinegar chips - the fumes will be with you ...

I was going to ask you how much filtering you can stuff into a 4x11" pipe. It'd be nice if you said 24x with X1e :D Updating thread with G's response as he missed my previous post: "I actually didn't see it. There were a lot of posts and I didn't have time to read them all.
