BC 84s

Post by Ice Man » Wed Dec 03, 2014 5:35 pm

I am handling the sale of this product for an Estate and Gilbert is assisting me.

Good to excellent cosmetic condition from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Gilbert tested the units prior to packing and it is fully functional.

No reasonable offer will be refused.

These are earlier version of BC84. Any of these can be upgraded with our recent technology such as X0e. Some have better condition than other. If you want the better condition unit(s) contact Iceman. The first buyer get the pick the best of the 5. All of these units are about 10 years old. Original retail was USD495.00, asking USD200.00 each to USD100.00 each depends on condition of the unit.

I have tested all of these unit on site in June 2014 before packing them into the original packaging.

I purchased 2 of these babies...for the amps, for each of 2 systems I have. One a HUGE BC 380s amp

The other... basically mono BC204's (but with the 8000ag power supplies, in a BC2 chassis).

So After playing around with them, the main thing was letting them break in to the wattage of each, as each systems amps, are on their own dedicated 20 amp line, Acme outlets (non cryoed - sound better here! more hall info). It took a few weeks...

Anyway, point being, once I had my 6x filters placed as close the amps as possible (as they were prior to the BC84's installation)... They are magic! No loss of dynamics, like most AC Filters... But more dynamic - quieter pppp's, to louder FFF! more live, more vivid, yet smoother (with NO loss of excitement). more hall info cues - back of wall, back corners, and floor of venue! While going thru the re-break in of these, Iceman was VERY helpful in terms of my placement of noisehounds and filters, and getting it right - like a dealer almost lol. So I say snap up the last 3 if you can! Before I think about a few mo :) (and having G-MunLay xoe them lol!)

Side note: JM's AG amps with the 200 series output devices, are very similar to my BC2 8004 mono amps... Just balanced (versus mine, as single ended only). Mine smoked some killer amps here (Joule 100wt otl, Parasound JC1's to name a few, at their own game! too, not just the Blue Circle strengths :). Not one area they bettered the BC amppy's.
