Getting the very bottom octaves is very satisfying.

Hello Mike,
I think I know what you are talking about. My Genesis 2.5 have their subs already build in. The midrange planars (BG48) are driven by my BC amps (AG 3000 and AG 8000), with the PSA DS and PWT as source. The four 12' woofers have their own amp, which are part of the Genesis system.
Enjoy your system! Although it looks good I believe it's SQ out competes the optical impression....

I left a note with GilBut to see if he can make a pair of power cords to replace the supplied OEM's.

The plugs look like IEC's but use only two blades. The female socket is also a tiny bit smaller which mean that a mofified IEC wont fit.

While I wait for an answer feel free to chirp-in with a suggestion.

Boy, those IEC's power cables with available C-17 connectors are hard to find. There's a dealer in Halifax that carries AudioQuest NRG-X2 and they are not expensive.

They should be an adequate replacement for the cheap and very stiff 18awg OEM cables. ( Shown here with C7 connector)

Power Cables

Hi Boo Lite,

Nice system as always... :D

Why not use just a regular connector with the ground not connected? If the shape is the same, I don't see an issue unless I am missing something here. I used a BC68 cable on an AV receiver for a friend in his pub without issue - same configuration as what you show here.

Thanks Mark for the kind words. As I mentioned in a prior post, I tried that with a few extra cords I have. The female C-3 plug is too big for the male C-17 receptacle of the subs.

I supposed I could do a bit of destructive testing on an old cord and shave the plug to fit and see if the blades align the same. Anyway...No biggie. I have proper ones on order.
