OH MY.... I just had one of those... "chills down your spine moments.." Anne Bisson "Do what you want" rotated onto the music server.. and I could have almost sworn she was in the room..
Having sat and listened to the girl do her thing at the TAVES shows.. it's a voice that is very present in the old brain box.. having it just float into the room like it did, was VERY much like the real deal...

Getting there... :P

Time for an updated system pic. Some meaningful changes, updated the BC6000 to X1e status, brought in a new dedicated HP All in One for the music server, and new Skylan Stands under the SHL5's.

No doubt on that one....I would give my eye teeth for that preamp!!! What tubes do you run in there DD? I am partial to the Siemens 7308's in my BC3000....

:D :D :D

Thanks guys ! appreciate the kindness.
:D

As for tubes, well currently I've been running basic EH 6922's, although I've used Genelex's in it.. to lovely results (better tone, structure, soundstaging) the EH is a solid repeatable performing tube, and is perhaps a bit peppier sounding overall, which I think helps with the Harbeths.

Yes indeed, a very sweet looking rig. What did you ever do with the BC206NST?

Hey Freddy, the 206NST moved on to a new owner. Rene at Mystic Audio was kind enough to help with the rehoming process, everyone was happy with the end result. :)

Update time again ! it may look similar, but some meaningful changes on deck. First, my SHL5's have moved on ! Only to be replaced by... SHL5Plus !
Sources have seen some change too, tuner is upgraded to an MD107 (killer !) and the music server has seen some Audioquest Jitterbugs added, which yielded some gains.
Biggest change is migrating my Rega RP8 to the main rig, and adding an Apheta2 MC to it 8) Phono stage will be a custom version of the lil 703, but in the interim, a full BC703 is making the Apheta2 sound like a total freaking groove dancer !
