As a few of you know, I have of practical necessity been running my wonderful NSP on an all solid state Crimson 710 preamp while waiting for the opportunity to abandon this miscegenation and provide my Blue Circle power plant with a suitable Blue Circle mate. This has worked out satisfactorily because Crimson all solid state and Blue Circle all solid state are not radically different from each other.

Due here on Monday. Will wait a week or two before reporting out. Will report on both phono stage and line stage. Will be coupled with NSP.

Why a 107 instead of a 109

Post by bobneill » Fri May 29, 2015 7:44 am

"The BC-107 has turned out to be much more than just a BC-109 with a conventional power supply. And much to the dismay of the marketing
department, it is not much cheaper than a 109 either. It may
even sound almost as good, and perhaps in some ways, even
better than the 109. The marketing folks are not very happy and

The whole Blue Circle products line up have not make much sense since day two. Day one was when we only have one BC2 power amp and one BC3 preamp. After that, all hell broke lose.

Bob is correct. Built in Li'l703 into the BC107 is available on request. If phono isn't that important but still want a phonostage built in, we can install a Fon Lo Thingee inside the BC107 instead of Li'l703.

Those description on our web site are mostly marketing BS. We have to do it because people expect it. Read it with a spoon full of sea salt.
