Hi,
My name is Mark and I am an Audioholic....I started with tubes; straight up Sovtek 6SN7's, then I moved to JAN's, then on to the harder stuff like 6SN7W's...I thought I had it licked; that's when I found 6DJ8's and 6922's..I gobbled them up but, but...I still wanted more...What if I mixed the 6SN7's WITH the 6DJ8/6922's??? WOW!! What a cocktail I could create...something for every mood, every song....a Ninja blender of soundscapes...
My point is - what is wrong with that? You can't tell a fertile mind to stop thinking up new stuff...every position on the matter is right...who's money is it anyways..
Mark

Every position on the matter is right.

Re: Back to DD
Thanks for the clarity Bob... I wasn't getting that on first read... rather more of a general statement, as opposed to specifics.bobneill wrote:It's the flipping back and forth between tubes and ss in the same amp that I'm really talking about. Hell, we all evolve. My own odyssey is clear proof of that. If I listened to what I like now 10 years ago I'd have gacked.
