Re: NSI - the first impressions

Here is the story behind it.

And here is a pictures of the NSI-G, the super NSI as George has been calling it. It measures 17.25" wide x 14.75" high x 21.5" deep plus the binding post. I can make it in smaller multiple boxes.

Re: NSI - the first impressions

Great review George!! Hey, can you snap some pics of the amp and post them here? Also, it is great to see GilBut offer the Tube/SS summing circuit that he built into my custom 2K4sh - it truly gives you complete control and on mine I can completely shut off the tube section (which is 6SN7 as well) ...

The not all new but new enough BC515 Digital to Analog Converter

For the past three years I have been thinking about designing an all new DAC. After looking at what material are available to design new DACs and what are currently available from other companies, I have decided designing an all new DAC from ground up is a total waste of time. At least from a music ...

BC1002-ML stereo power amplifier

Here is another new power amp this year, BC1002-ML. When I designed the BC1022 many years ago, I was going to make a little brother along with it. However, due to marketing and other factors, the little brother has never come to live. Since I am semi-retir........ing. It means I am going to do what ...

Re: PLC FX2 X0E and other questions

olddude If the PLC is brand new, it may take up to a month for the gas to stop. Make sure you garage has good ventilation. Otherwise, it may take longer for the gas to stop. Having a fan blow right onto it will also help. Keeping the temperature above 15C will also help curing faster and therefore s...

Re: A New Power Amplifier Prototype

masluck I don't know I would consider myself a tube guy from an audiophile point of view. I like the sound effect from tube but don't want the hassle (hiss and noise) and maintenance cost of tube. Especially power tubes. So you will never see me designing a tube power amp. I am using less number of ...

Re: A New Power Amplifier Prototype

This new amp is a stereo amp with separate power supply. It is why all the heatsinks are in one chassis and the transformers are in the other.

A New Power Amplifier Prototype

I have a chance to convert an old AG8200 to whatever new design I can come up with. Took it to Entracte Audio in Toronto for a comparison with a NSW, NSP and NSL. Here is the picture and I will let George of Entracte Audio do the writing. Because if I have to say anything, all I can say is "it sound...

New 5 years Parts and Labor Warranty on stuff......

Most companies sell you extended warranty for money. A lot of companies extend their warranty because their marketing department demands it so they can push more boxes out the door. Most public are impressed by the long warranty period no matter how unreliable the product is, as long as they can bri...

The customer has received the 107SE TBK. I have asked him to say something on the forum but like many others, he prefers not to post anywhere. I have his permission to post part of his e-mail. Here is his answer after I have asked him to write something for me to post here. "I will. Though such thin...
