Hi, a customer of mine last year had his FLT put in a box and Gilbert added some other goodies and he has been extremely happy with the results. The aluminum foil works well, electrical shielding tape for guitars is very effective but neither has real visual appeal. I think that the new FLT iaB look...

If you want vinyl in Canada try Diamond Groove. They are in Dundas Ontario and are nice folks.

I am glad that you have found this really simple fix to work. I have friends using cartridges like the Shelter 501 and they found that not using loading pins was best. As an owner of the MM Grado Sonata I can tell you that my experience with the Fon Lo Thingee has taught me that it is a wonderful so...

Listening Levels and music complexity

I went to the symphony on Saturday evening and sat in my usual spot two rows behind the sound board. I sit their because I like the sound pressure from acoustic instruments there and generally as it is the position from which the sound engineer mixes and sets levels for amplified instruments it is t...

I too use the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Raven told me about it. Here is a link to a detailed description of the method to use it.

I am not too sure that the Shakti stones fall under the category of fairy dust. I could only hear a minimal difference in sound with and without the Shakti stones but over the course of a week of blind testing my wife could always tell when the Shakti stones were in place and when they were not. So ...

Hey Gilbert, Why can a 100 watt BC 1022 drive the 84db Mani-2 speakers to good listening levels. The bass is firm present and detailed. Highs are extended liquid and clean and the mid range is inviting and accurate enough to let one hear the moment before a vocalist inhales. Roberta and I just liste...

My handle comes from the fact that three of my favorite speakers for a small room come from Totem Acoustics. I currently use Mani-2 speakers and with the arrival of the BC 1022 almost a year ago I really cannot see replacing them in my system. I prefer the Mani-2 to the Mani-2 signature speakers and...

Tracey Thorn "Love and its Opposite"

http://www.tlp-audio.com/forum.old/userpix/848_2290390traceythornloveanditsopposite_1.jpg I have just discovered this compact disc. There is a wonderful thoughtful review on Dusted Reviews: http://www.dustedmagazine.com/reviews/5752. It is a rainy day here in south western Ontario and this cd seems...

Hey DD, I feel that the BC 1022 fills a spot in the BC line up beautifully. As I see it Blue Circle has a seamless line up starting with the SB power amps moving into the 1000 and into the 200 line. I must admit that it is well over a year since I had a BC 204 in my own system but my weak auditory m...

:D :D The BC 1022 pictured is my absolutely wonderful power amplifier. In balanced mode it has brought even greater control and definition to the wonderful bass that I had with my BC 140T. The imaging is precise clear and looses none of the come hither beauty of the my former tubed amplifier. Highs ...

I am on Bob's side on this one. Even if the two units started off the same the ability to up grade the BC 3 makes it an easy choice.

When you get your BC 3 make sure to set the gain on the dual Shallco attenuators to low. Your speakers are very efficient and the lower setting will give you greater flexibility mate better with your speakers.

You are presenting a real problem here. The FtTH is a very good integrated and can easily drive the 3A De Capo i speakers. The BC 3 is an upgradeable preamplifier and so it gives you much greater flexibility and a world of possibilities. I know, I have had my BC 3 Despina modified several times and ...
